New Beginnings

The Dodge Hornet is a brand-new Dodge model that may soon be making an appearance around Portsmouth. The Hornet was initially debuted as a concept car in 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show but never made it to production. However, based on several recent changes, there is speculation that the Dodge Hornet may be finally on its way into production. The Dodge Hornet has been in the works for several years through previews and name trademarks, but the model may finally be underway during the 2023 model year.

Styling and Design

The Dodge Hornet comes based on the platform of the unreleased Alfa Romeo Tonale. Combined with the style of the Hornet concept vehicle previewed in 2006, the new Hornet should be a sleek SUV model that features the prominent Dodge front-grille design. The Dodge Hornet will be a refreshing model for the Dover area.

Performance

The Dodge Hornet will offer enough performance for Hampton drivers when it gets released. Used in the current Jeep Wrangler SUV models and expected to be used in the Alfa Romeo Tonale, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder may come equipped in the Dodge Hornet. The turbocharged 2.0-liter currently produces up to 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, which will be exciting to use around Somersworth.

Conclusion

Everything about the new Dodge Hornet has not been officially confirmed by Stellantis, the new parent company of Dodge. If the speculation is true, then the Hornet will be the first brand-new model in Dodge’s lineup for over ten years. Additionally, the Hornet may be a fitting new SUV model for the roads of Rochester. There is still a lot of information to be provided about the Hornet, but it is great to know that Dodge may finally be releasing a brand new vehicle to replace the now-discontinued Dodge Journey.
